10/10 burger + service! this man is the heart and soul of Caleruega. He is genuine, kind, and funny. He embodies such great spirit and has made our dining experience one to remember!!! Fr fr the cheeseburger was thebomb.com it was the right amount of medium rare juiciness and the buns were not too thick. We enjoyed the freshness that these burgers held! We especially enjoyed the variety of toppings available. It was so good, we went up for seconds As seniors who still eat at Cal, this dining hall has definitely grown in the past 4 years we have been eating here. So cheers to cal for improvement!!
I'm a part-time student at Dominican University, and this dining hall is a lovely resource for when I am on campus and in-between classes. Ten bucks for a tasty meal in a picturesque dining hall, surrounded by trees! You can have hot entrées (which change daily) or go to the salad bar, or choose from the soup options, or choose from the pizza options. For dessert, there are freshly-baked cookies or fruit cobbler. The staff is gracious and low-key, and the facility is clean. Considering they accommodate and feed hundreds of people in a very concentrated time period, I think they do an excellent job. It's always filled with students, sure, but staff and faculty eat there, too. Additionally, I always see people from the neighborhood tie their dogs up out front so they can sit and have a nice, inexpensive meal close to home. Yes, it's true: I actually look forward to eating at a cafeteria.
Wow. This place is phenomenonal. Ofcourse, students who eat this on a daily basis complain, but for a once in a while meal, Calaruega is awesome! It is buffet style and only about 8 dollars! They have tons of choices. They usually have a taco/mexican food section, a "classic" food section, a sandwich and salad bar, desserts and cereal! You also get to be around young, friendly college students! Check it out!
